NASA chief stands by Russia-U.S. collaboration.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson has said that the US is in a space race with China to get to the moon, as astronauts prepare for the first crewed mission to the moon in 50 years. Canada will take on an increased role in the mission, which will include Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen among its crew. Despite global tensions with Russia, NASA’s relationship with Russia’s cosmonauts is as strong as ever, while China’s space agency is seen as secretive and non-transparent. NASA is aiming to put astronauts back on the lunar surface by the end of 2025, hoping to explore an area that they didn’t explore the last time boots were on the moon: the south pole.
