"NASA's Milky Way Symphony: Converting Light into Sound Frequencies"

NASA and musicians have collaborated to turn a photograph of the Milky Way taken by the Chandra X-Ray Observatory into a musical piece by matching the wavelengths of light to sound. The project, called System-Sounds, has sonified various astronomical data, including the galactic center, the Crab Nebula, the Carina Nebula, Messier 104, and the WD2 star cluster. Each image has its own track, with different instruments representing different types of light. The resulting musical compositions provide a unique way to interpret and experience the beauty of space.
