"Scientists Unravel the Enigma of Magnetic Levitation Defying Conventional Physics"

Scientists at the Technical University of Denmark have elucidated the physics behind a new type of magnetic levitation discovered by Turkish scientist Hamdi Ucar in 2021. This phenomenon occurs when a rapidly rotating magnet causes a nearby magnet to levitate and align with it, creating a stable hovering effect not explained by classical physics. The research, which involved replicating the experiment and using simulations, revealed that the levitating magnet behaves similarly to a spinning top, maintaining its position as long as the rotational coupling is sustained. The findings have been published in the journal Physical Review Applied, providing insights into the complex interactions between movement and magnetic forces.
