Asteroid 2023 DZ2 to make close pass by Earth and moon this weekend

Asteroid 2023 DZ2, estimated to be between 140 and 310 feet in diameter, will safely pass between Earth and the moon on March 26, missing Earth by 108,758 miles. This rare event provides an opportunity for amateur astronomers and scientists to observe the asteroid. NASA's Asteroid Watch announced the asteroid's approach and astronomers from the Goldstone Antenna in California will be taking radar images of the asteroid.
