Tiny Ankylosaurs Were Babies, Not Miniature Dinosaurs

New research shows that Liaoningosaurus paradoxus fossils once thought to be miniature dinosaurs are actually young ankylosaurs, with bone analysis indicating ages under one year and even hatchling status in at least one specimen, offering rare insight into early armor development and the growth of armored dinosaurs in China’s Liaoning Province.
