Asteroid 2023 EY to make close pass by Earth.

An asteroid the size of a house, named 2023 EY, is passing by Earth at a distance of 240,000 kilometers, which is less than two-thirds the distance of the Moon. Although it poses no threat to Earth, it will be visible through telescopes. The asteroid was first spotted on March 13 by the Sutherland Observing Station in South Africa, which is part of the ATLAS network funded by NASA. The asteroid is classified as an Apollo NEO, and is not in the potentially hazardous size range.
