Chinese Scientist Questions India's Lunar South Pole Landing

The chief scientist of China's first lunar mission, Ouyang Ziyuan, has claimed that India's Chandrayaan-3 lander did not touch down on the Moon's southern pole as previously stated. He argues that the lander actually landed 619 kilometers away from the polar region, far from the Moon's south pole. Ouyang's perception of the Moon's south pole differs from NASA's designation, as he believes it to be smaller due to the planet's tilt. India is currently attempting to revive the lander and rover from hibernation.
