"Curiosity Rover's Stunning Martian Postcards"

NASA's Curiosity rover captured a stunning image of a sunrise and blue afternoon sky simultaneously on Mars. The image is a composite of two photos taken at different times of day and was colored by an Earthbound artist. The image shows the Marker Band Valley and two rocky hills, Bolivar and Deepdale. Curiosity is currently on a slow and steady drive uphill through a canyon towards a cluster of craters on top, providing researchers at NASA with plenty of opportunities to make observations of the Martian surface.
