Firefly's Blue Ghost Lunar Lander Set for January 2025 Launch

NASA has opened media accreditation for the Firefly Blue Ghost Mission 1, set to launch no earlier than mid-January 2025, as part of the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative and Artemis campaign. The mission will deliver 10 NASA science and technology instruments to the Moon using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, aiming to enhance lunar exploration and prepare for future human missions. The mission, named Ghost Riders in the Sky, will land near Mons Latreille in Mare Crisium, focusing on lunar subsurface drilling, regolith collection, and other technology demonstrations.
