Moon Mission Spacecraft Factory in Operation.

Airbus Bremen in Germany is building three European Service Modules (ESMs) for NASA's Artemis missions to the Moon. The ESMs are designed to provide propulsion, electrical power, and life support for astronauts. ESM-3 will enable the first woman and person of color to land on the Moon. Each ESM is 4m wide, 4m high, and will take 16 months to complete. The first ESM has already flown successfully, and the rest are in various stages of completion. The ESMs are an integral part of the Artemis program, which is planned to take astronauts further from Earth than any human has traveled.
