Rocket Lab successfully launches NASA satellites to study tropical storms and hurricanes.

Rocket Lab has launched the first two cubesats of NASA's TROPICS network, which will consist of four cubesats in low Earth orbit to study tropical cyclones and hurricanes with enhanced specificity. The TROPICS constellation will measure the hour-by-hour formation and progression of tropical storms and hurricanes with the ability to look in the microwave wavelength region in the storms, with hourly cadence to look at the storm as it forms and intensifies. Rocket Lab will launch the other two satellites about two weeks from now, if all goes according to plan.
