The European Space Agency's Euclid spacecraft was successfully launched into space by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral. Euclid will spend six years conducting a detailed survey of one third of the sky to study dark matter and dark energy, which make up 95% of the universe.
