ULA's Vulcan rocket inches closer to launch with dress rehearsal and new tests.
TL;DR
United Launch Alliance (ULA) is conducting final testing ahead of the inaugural launch of its Vulcan-Centaur rocket, which is designed to replace both Atlas V and Delta IV Heavy. ULA is also offloading its final Delta IV Heavy rocket from their Rocketship vessel. Vulcan-Centaur is currently undergoing a launch day dress rehearsal, including cryogenic propellant loading operations and component and subsystem tests. Assuming successful completion of the tanking tests, ULA is aiming to perform the flight readiness firing of Vulcan’s twin Blue Origin BE-4 engines next week.
