Snake-like Robot Could Hunt for Life on Saturn's Moon.

NASA's snake-like robot, called Endless Explorer of the Extraordinary Seas (EELS), has been designed to explore deep and difficult-to-reach places on celestial objects and planets in our solar system. It can easily traverse diverse terrains such as water, sand, rock, and ice. The robot's rotating screws enable it to grip and wiggle through ice structures. The EELS initiative was prompted by the discovery of plumes of water vapor ejected into space by Saturn's tiny icy moon Enceladus, raising the possibility of a habitable liquid ocean beneath the moon's frozen crust.
