El Niño Returns: Record Heat and Extreme Weather Expected.

An early and strong El Nino has formed, likely to cause extreme weather worldwide and add more heat to an already warming Earth. This El Nino formed earlier than most, giving it room to grow, and there is a 56% chance it will be considered strong and a 25% chance it will reach supersized levels. Hurricanes in the Atlantic are not expected to be muted this time due to record hot Atlantic temperatures. El Nino is a natural, temporary and occasional warming of part of the Pacific that shifts weather patterns across the globe, often by moving the airborne paths for storms.
