"NATO Official: Romania Safe from War, No Risk of Involvement"

NATO Deputy-General Secretary Mircea Geoana reassured that there is "no risk" of Romania being dragged into the war between Russia and Ukraine, following the discovery of drone fragments near the border. While Romanian citizens living near the conflict zone expressed concerns, Geoana emphasized that there is no indication of a deliberate action by Russia to strike Romanian territory. NATO has implemented defense plans tailored for the region and is prepared to support Romania if necessary. The United States will supplement air policing in the Black Sea region and increase the number of NATO troops stationed in Romania.
