Putin's surprise visit to Ukraine's war-torn regions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of Russian troops fighting in Ukraine in the Kherson and Luhansk regions, which are partly controlled by Russian troops. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops are preparing for a fresh counteroffensive to reclaim the occupied territories. The G7 vowed to intensify sanctions against Russia for its war in Ukraine, while Brazil welcomed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and thanked the country for its controversial efforts to mediate the Ukraine conflict.
