Xi Jinping Urges Chinese Forces to Prepare for Real Combat Amid Taiwan Tensions.
TL;DR
Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged his military to strengthen its readiness for "real combat" and deepen military training and preparation. This comes after China's recent display of force around Taiwan, which it blamed on Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen's meeting with US Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy. Xi also emphasized the need to improve the ability to respond to complex situations in a timely and appropriate manner and to resolutely defend China's territorial sovereignty, maritime rights, and interests.
