Ford Fathom Aims for Mass Market with Sub-$30K EV Pickup
Ford unveils the Fathom, a budget-friendly midsize EV pickup built on Ford’s Universal Electric Vehicle platform, using a 48-volt architecture and Unicasting (two large aluminum castings) to cut costs, with a base price around $28,350, over 300 miles of range, and deliveries planned for Fall 2027 from Louisville, KY; pre-orders start in early 2027, and the truck includes BlueCruise, a digital key, and Apple/Android Auto compatibility to compete in the entry-level EV-truck market.
