Shanahan confirms Stribling's Achilles intact after Week 1 exit
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling's Achilles tendon is intact following his exit from the Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Stribling was carted off the field late in the second quarter after sustaining an ankle injury earlier in the game. Although there were initial concerns about a potential Achilles tear, Shanahan's post-game comments indicate the worst-case scenario has been avoided. Stribling played 21 snaps in the first half but recorded no catches. Further clarity on his status is expected in the coming days, but the immediate threat to his season appears to be resolved.
