Pogacar: Vingegaard missing a bit this Tour as Alps loom
Tadej Pogacar said Jonas Vingegaard is “missing a little bit” of their previous Tour form, even as Vingegaard pressured on Stage 14 and Pogacar extended his GC lead to 4:30 with another solo win. He credited Vingegaard’s front work but suggested the Dane lacks a bit of “grinta” in the mountains and could be stronger in the Alps, with a time trial and Alpe d’Huez still to come as UAE Team Emirates-XRG maintains an aggressive, non-defensive approach.
