Apple Unveils Co-Developed Smart Home Lineup with LG and Schneider Electric

Apple has launched the Apple Home Collection, a suite of smart home devices co-developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The lineup includes indoor and outdoor cameras, a video doorbell, a smart lock, and thermostats. These devices are designed for seamless integration with Apple's new HomeView display and Home app, featuring end-to-end encryption and simplified setup. While most devices support Matter for cross-platform compatibility, cameras and doorbells are restricted to Apple ecosystems due to proprietary local buffering features. Pricing ranges from $199 to $399, with availability starting in December in the US, Canada, and the UK.
