Apple HomeView Wall Model Costs Same as Speaker Version but Lacks Audio Hardware

Apple’s new HomeView smart hub is available in two configurations: a standalone unit with a speaker base and a wall-mounted version. Both models are priced at $299, but the wall-mounted version lacks the down-firing woofer and passive radiators found in the standalone model. To mount the wall version, customers must purchase a separate bracket, starting at $59.95, making the total cost higher for less hardware. The device launches on November 13, 2026, alongside a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2.

Apple Unveils Co-Developed Smart Home Lineup with LG and Schneider Electric

Apple has launched the Apple Home Collection, a suite of smart home devices co-developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The lineup includes indoor and outdoor cameras, a video doorbell, a smart lock, and thermostats. These devices are designed for seamless integration with Apple's new HomeView display and Home app, featuring end-to-end encryption and simplified setup. While most devices support Matter for cross-platform compatibility, cameras and doorbells are restricted to Apple ecosystems due to proprietary local buffering features. Pricing ranges from $199 to $399, with availability starting in December in the US, Canada, and the UK.
