NASA lays out Artemis III–V roadmap to a sustained Moon base
NASA plans to resume crewed Moon missions with Artemis III in 2027 to test rendezvous/docking with private lunar landers, followed by Artemis IV and Artemis V in 2028 to target the Moon’s south pole for a potential base and to use ice as water and rocket fuel, marking a major step toward a sustained lunar presence and the first lunar surface mission since 1972.
