Moroccan Observatory Captures Five Ancient Supernova Remnants in Single Wide-Field Image
Astronomers at Morocco's Oukaïmeden Observatory have released a wide-field image capturing five distinct supernova remnants in the constellation Auriga. The composite image, built from 200 hours of observation, spans an area equivalent to 1,000 full moons. It highlights the Spaghetti Nebula and other ancient stellar explosions, some of which may have been visible to early humans as bright new stars.
