
StarCraft II 5.0.16 Hotfix Refines Economy, Units, and UI
Blizzard released StarCraft II patch 5.0.16 hotfix, tweaking economy and several unit timings while addressing a wide list of bugs. Key changes include reducing geyser gas from 2500 to 2000, increasing Zerg Larva rate to 9.9, shortening Widow Mine lock-on time, delaying Reaper build time to 32 seconds, and adjusting Protoss and pre-warpgate timings (Adept 33s, High Templar/Dark Templar 40s). The Mothership’s shield is lowered to 200 while health rises to 400. Numerous fixes cover Infestor icons, Archon sounds, score/experience calculations, team ownership after builder loss, Load Nearby and its hotkey, tooltips, and visuals—Queens spawn facing their origin hatchery and gateway-produced units now show a visual spawn indicator.
