
Nadia Farès, Star of The Crimson Rivers, Dies at 57
Moroccan-born French actress Nadia Farès, best known for The Crimson Rivers, died at 57 after being found unconscious in a pool and placed in an induced coma; her daughters said the death was due to cardiac arrest. Farès had battled health issues including brain surgery for a 2007 aneurysm and multiple heart surgeries, and she had been preparing a new action-comedy project while returning to acting in Marseille. An investigation into the pool incident in Paris has been opened as CCTV footage is reviewed.
