Brother’s swift rescue saves 12-year-old after Bahamas shark attack
During a Bahamas family vacation about 60 miles offshore, 12-year-old Parker Roll was mauled by an eight- to ten-foot shark. His 16-year-old brother Jack immediately intervened, removed Parker’s swimsuit and tied fabric around the leg to stop the bleeding as others warded off the shark until the boat crew arrived. Parker sustained severe leg injuries requiring more than 1,000 stitches and is expected to make a full recovery, with doctors crediting Jack’s quick actions for likely saving his life.
