Big Study Finds Long-Term Cialis Use May Increase Glaucoma Risk
A large observational study of about 74,000 men aged 40+ with lower urinary tract symptoms found long-term tadalafil use was associated with higher risks of glaucoma (22%), elevated intraocular pressure (32%), and primary open-angle glaucoma (33%) over up to five years, though causation cannot be established. The findings suggest regular eye monitoring for long-term Cialis users, especially those with glaucoma risk factors; patients should not stop the medication without medical advice.
