"Intuitive Machines' Odysseus: Making History with Lunar Landing Attempt"

Intuitive Machines' Odysseus lunar lander, carried into orbit by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, is set to land near the moon's south pole as part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program, aiming to pave the way for human exploration and utilize the moon's resources. The mission includes NASA experiments and commercial payloads, such as space-age fabric and a data backup system. While the landing presents challenges, including the risk of crashing, it represents a significant step in private space exploration and the potential for lunar data storage.

"SpaceX Successfully Launches Intuitive Machines Moon Lander on Valentine's Day 2024"

Intuitive Machines is set to launch its Nova-C moon lander "Odysseus" atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center on February 14, aiming to become the first private company to achieve a soft landing on the lunar surface. The mission, originally scheduled for January, was delayed due to bad weather. If successful, the lander will carry out scientific experiments for NASA and commercial payloads, contributing to NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program and paving the way for future Artemis astronaut missions.

"Axiom Space Ax-3 Mission: Astronauts Return to Earth After Longest Private Spaceflight"

Four European astronauts have returned to Earth after completing the Ax-3 commercial mission to the International Space Station, chartered by Axiom Space. The crew's SpaceX capsule, Freedom, splashed down off Daytona Beach, Florida, after spending 18 days at the ISS conducting over 30 science experiments and gathering data for ongoing scientific research on the physiological effects of spaceflight on the human body. Axiom Space, in collaboration with SpaceX, is paving the way for future commercial operations in low-Earth orbit as NASA plans to retire the ISS in the 2030s.

Swedish astronaut joins Axiom mission to ISS.

The Swedish National Space Agency, European Space Agency, and Axiom Space have signed a letter of intent to allow an ESA astronaut, most likely from Sweden, to fly to the International Space Station on an Axiom commercial mission lasting about 10 days. The Swedish National Space Agency would negotiate directly with Axiom for the flight on a future private astronaut mission, while ESA would be the “crew provider” for the mission, assigning an ESA astronaut to it. The astronaut is expected to fly within a year, pending selection through a formal process.
