
Two Officers Put on Administrative Leave After Fatal Shooting Outside Chattanooga Community Center
Two Chattanooga police officers were placed on administrative leave after a fatal shooting outside the John A. Patten Community Center on Kellys Ferry Road. Authorities say Douglas Bearden fired a weapon, prompting officers to return fire; Bearden was pronounced dead at the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating. The area was blocked off and the center closed; no officers were injured.
