AMD brings Ryzen AI to desktops with business-focused 400-series
AMD is launching its first Ryzen AI desktop CPUs (400-series) for the AM5 socket, targeting business PCs over DIY enthusiasts. The six models come in 65W and 35W variants, combine Zen 5 cores with RDNA 3.5 graphics and a 50 TOPS NPU, and are aligned with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC features, though they’re essentially laptop silicon repackaged for desktops and do not yet include the top-end 12-core configurations or boxed consumer SKUs.
