Rivian’s Ghostbusters Collab Pushes Halloween Mode Into Physical and Digital Extremes
Rivian has launched its most ambitious Halloween software update yet, partnering with Sony Pictures to bring the Ghostbusters franchise to its vehicles. The update, available from October 9 to November 2, 2026, includes a dedicated in-car app, synchronized light and sound effects, and a physical one-off 'Ecto-R1' build. This move expands the brand’s seasonal tradition beyond simple digital themes, challenging competitors like Tesla to match the scale of the engagement.
