Issa pushes expungement of Trump’s impeachments from House records
Rep. Darrell Issa introduced H.Res.1211 to expunge Trump’s 2019 and 2021 impeachments from the House record, arguing they were based on false information and misconduct in the process; the measure has backing from Jim Jordan and 20+ GOP co-sponsors and would treat the impeachments as if they never passed, a move critics say is largely symbolic and legally uncertain, while supporters say it aims to address alleged early missteps and allow a formal hearing on the facts.
