A suspected meteorite struck a Houston-area home after a bright Texas fireball, with NASA saying the meteor weighed about a ton and broke into pieces, causing a pressure wave and meteorites to be detected between Willowbrook and Northgate Crossing. The impact left a hole in the ceiling and booms were heard by residents, with no injuries reported.
Experts have discovered larger fragments of the imploded Titan sub than expected, which is likely to facilitate an easier investigation into the tragedy. The retrieval of these larger parts defied expectations and provides more "pieces to the puzzle" for understanding the implosion.
