Faizon Love, known for Friday and Elf, has faced a string of legal issues over the years, including a 2017 airport assault conviction, a 2024 battery lawsuit from a San Diego hotel worker, and a 2026 arrest in Florida tied to a paternity case in which he reportedly owes $250,000 in unpaid child support. He claims financial hardship, saying he earned about $13,000 in the last five years, and was detained in Tampa’s Orient Road Jail on an outstanding warrant, held without bond after failing to attend a court hearing and turning himself in for a 90-day sentence.
