Cancer survivor Erin Lavery faces £8,000 bill for fertility treatment after NHS denies coverage
Erin Lavery, 23, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma in August 2024. Due to a delayed diagnosis, she could not preserve her eggs before starting chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Now cancer-free, she faces an £8,000 private cost for egg preservation because the NHS no longer funds it post-treatment. She is campaigning for better access to fertility services for cancer survivors.
