Nintendo trims Switch 2 production after softer holiday sales
Nintendo is reportedly cutting Switch 2 production to four million units this quarter (down from six million) after weak holiday sales, especially in the US, with reductions expected to continue into April. The move sent shares lower, though Nintendo says it remains confident in the console's long-term prospects. Separately, a revised EU Switch 2 with a replaceable battery is planned to meet the 2027 EU rules.
