BMW expands EV lineup with new AWD and RWD options.

BMW is introducing a lower priced all-wheel drive (AWD) version of its i4 Gran Coupe, plus a rear-wheel drive (RWD) version of the new i7 EV. Both models will feature a new operating system from BMW called iDrive 8.5. The i4 xDrive40 EV is expected to arrive in Q3 of this year as a 2024 model and will start at a base MSRP of $61,600. The i7 eDrive50 will feature BMW’s single GEN5 motor on its rear axle, delivering 449 horsepower and will start at an MSRP of $105,700. BMW is also introducing a new operating system, iDrive 8.5, which will be added during the production of select BMW models beginning this July.

BMW's i7 M70: The Fastest and Most Powerful Electric Sedan Yet.

BMW has unveiled its fastest and most powerful electric vehicle yet, the i7 M70 xDrive, with up to 660 horsepower and a dual electric motor all-wheel-drive system. The EV can go from 0 to 62 mph in as little as 3.7 seconds and has a long-range capability of between 303 to 348 WLTP miles. The i7 M70 will be among the brand’s first models to include the updated BMW operating system 8.5 and will come with M-specific design features. BMW has confirmed it will include a fully electric performance series 5 sedan, the i5, set to launch in October, followed by the M performance version.
