SpaceX successfully launches Intelsat satellite with NASA experiment.
SpaceX successfully launched the Intelsat-40e/TEMPO payload to a geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) using its Falcon 9 rocket. The satellite, built by Maxar Technologies, will provide coast-to-coast coverage to customers over North America, while the TEMPO instrument, built by Ball Aerospace and integrated into the satellite, will measure atmospheric pollution over North America. This is the second of a three-instrument constellation designed to monitor air pollution on an hourly basis.
