
Virginia Bus Crash Sparks Expanded Manslaughter Charges Against Driver
A Staten Island tour bus driver, Jing Sheng Dong, 48, involved in a Virginia crash that killed five people has been indicted on three additional involuntary manslaughter counts and a misdemeanor reckless driving charge. He previously faced two involuntary manslaughter counts. The crash occurred on I-95 in Stafford County as traffic slowed for a work zone; the bus struck six vehicles. Victims include four members of a Greenfield, MA family and a Worcester, MA woman. Nearly 40 others were injured. The National Transportation Safety Board and Virginia state police are investigating; the bus was operated by E&P Travel.
