A PicoMEM-based PicoGraph setup uses a Raspberry Pi Pico to host a USB DisplayLink adapter, delivering MDA, Hercules, EGA, and VGA graphics (plus Cirrus Logic SVGA support) to ISA-era PCs and even running DOOM.
Linux is moving to retire the outdated DTLK ISA speech-synthesizer driver (Double Talk) as part of the 7.2 kernel cycle. The driver hasn’t seen meaningful work in years, and the same hardware is supported by a separate accessibility path (Speakup), making the legacy driver largely unused. The commit argues removing it will reduce future maintenance, noting RC Systems’ DoubleTalk page remains outdated and the hardware should be retired with Linux 7.2.
Harvey Jones uses ChatGPT to identify FTSE stocks with 7%+ yields for a UK ISA; the bot highlights Phoenix Group, M&G and Taylor Wimpey but relies on outdated data, while Ithaca Energy and Bluefield Solar Income Fund are flagged as less reliable. Actual yields have moved (Phoenix ~7.3%, M&G ~6.8%, Taylor Wimpey ~8.7–9.2%), and Jones warns that very high yields can be volatile or unsustainable. He still sees potential in the three names with a long-term view but emphasizes doing his own research rather than trusting a bot.
Yair Golan, leader of the Democrats Party, has pledged to remove ISA head David Zini if elected, criticizing his appointment and calling for a civil service purge to protect democratic integrity, while facing criticism from Benny Gantz for politicizing security appointments.
