SpaceX hires former NASA human spaceflight chief for Starship development
Former NASA human spaceflight chief, Kathy Lueders, has been hired by SpaceX as a general manager at the company's Starbase facility in South Texas. Lueders will report directly to SpaceX President and COO, Gwynne Shotwell, and will work on the development of the Starship deep-space transportation system. Lueders is already familiar with SpaceX's operational human spaceflight hardware, having worked with the company to launch multiple astronaut missions to the International Space Station during her time at NASA.
