Ukraine's defense ministry believes that its forces have the potential to break the land corridor connecting occupied Crimea with Russia before winter, as they have already pierced Russia's first defensive line in the southern axis. Ukrainian Defence Forces may be able to sever Russia's land corridor with occupied Crimea before winter, according to Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. Russia, in desperation, has prematurely deployed reserves, but they are insufficient and lack necessary personnel and equipment. Budanov believes that the slow pace of advance against a well-prepared Russian army is a reflection of reality, and Ukraine still has time before the muddy season arrives.
