Dallas waived backup QB Joe Milton, making Sam Howell Prescott's backup. Milton, who has 424 passing yards, two TDs and two INTs in five games, is expected to draw interest from QB-needy teams such as the Dolphins, Titans and Jets as he seeks his next destination.
The Titans waived Will Levis after demoting him to third string, ending his Nashville run despite flashes of promise in 2023. With a poor 2024 season and Tennessee drafting Cam Ward No. 1 overall, Levis now seeks a new NFL home. Potential landing spots floated include Jacksonville (Liam Coen connection), Tampa Bay, Green Bay, and New York Jets, where a change of scenery and coaching could help him maximize his arm talent while addressing decision-making and turnover issues.
LeBron James' agent Rich Paul outlined six realistic destinations for the star's next team on The Dan Le Batard Show: Golden State, Miami, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Minnesota and Denver. Other teams were discussed on the periphery (including New York, Boston, Dallas and San Antonio), and Paul stressed that LeBron’s happiness—not money—will guide the decision, with no rush to decide, plus a Denver connection via the Kroenke family adding nuance.
With Connor McDavid locked into a two-year Edmonton extension, theScore spins a hypothetical: if he requests a move after Edmonton’s playoff exit, five realistic destinations could pursue him—San Jose Sharks (assets and Celebrini-era future), The Mammoth (a contending, cap-friendly option), Montreal Canadiens (strong prospect pool and picks to entice), Tampa Bay Lightning (contender with a ruthless palate for big moves), and the Maple Leafs (McDavid’s hometown with dramatic trade potential). The piece notes the tension around the Oilers’ direction, McDavid’s win-now mindset, and how a next-adjacent deal could reshape the league even as Toronto looms large in talks.”,

Vikings are the betting favorite to sign Kyler Murray after the Cardinals plan to release him, with DraftKings moving Murray’s odds to -295 to join Minnesota; Jets (+350) and several other teams are listed as possibilities. Murray, a No. 1 overall pick whose recent years have been hampered by injuries, could sign a one-year, $1.3 million deal with the Cardinals paying about $35.5 million, and will decide whether to play immediately or back up to reset for 2027.
Kyler Murray is set to hit the free-agent market after the Cardinals release, with Arizona absorbing most of his $36.8 million guaranteed and a veteran minimum likely for 2026. His healthy 2024 showing (68.8% completion, 3,851 yards, 21 TDs, 11 INTs) suggests upside despite an injury history, making him an attractive low-cost option in a thin QB market. The article highlights several plausible fits—Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Los Angeles Rams—with Detroit also mentioned as a possibility—each offering different paths to starting or backing up a QB amid cap constraints.
The Cardinals will release Kyler Murray before the 2026 league year, making him a top quarterback free agent. Arizona’s move saves little in the short term but leaves Murray with $36.8 million guaranteed for 2026; his injury history and middling but above‑average production in a weak Cardinals offense keep him from being a guaranteed elite option. The piece highlights five likely landing spots—Vikings, Jets, Dolphins, Falcons, and Steelers—and weighs cap space, competitive timelines, and how each offense might fit Murray. The Dolphins are unlikely due to cap and a development path, the Jets could afford him but face long‑term commitments, the Falcons have cap room but a potentially awkward fit, the Vikings could upgrade but would need the right scheme, and the Steelers present the most favorable combination of cap space and a scheme that suits Murray. Ultimately, his destination remains uncertain as teams balance cost, fit, and risk.]
Following the Cardinals' plan to release Kyler Murray, five teams — the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Jets — are connected as potential destinations, attracted by a low-cost, potentially starting option. Each team weighs factors like Penix Jr.’s rehab and system fit (Falcons), desire for a developmental/starting option (Browns), cap-strapped viability (Dolphins), need for an experienced starter (Vikings), and a cost-efficient, mobile signal-caller for a strengthened Jets roster. Murray's injury history and large 2027 guaranteed money will influence how aggressively teams pursue him.
With Kyler Murray set to be released by the Cardinals, sportsbooks list the Minnesota Vikings as the early favorite to sign him, followed by the Jets, Dolphins, Browns, and Falcons; the Rams are a long shot. The decision may hinge on whether Murray wants to play in 2026 or wait for 2027, as he nears 29 and may need to shift to a pocket passer.
Sports Illustrated's updated top-50 list for the 2026 NFL free-agent class highlights a wave of players in their mid-20s whose development could drive value, while veteran stars like Trey Hendrickson and Aaron Rodgers factor into teams’ risk-versus-production calculus. Each player is given a projected contract and likely landing spots, illustrating a crowded market where teams balance multi-year deals against age, injury risk, and the changing landscape following the NFL combine and franchise-tag activity. Notables include Hendrickson around $105 million over three years, Linderbaum about $84 million over four, Daniel Jones near $90 million over two, and Kenneth Walker III among rising backs with strong markets.
The piece argues that with a thin 2026 QB draft class, Malik Willis is a top free-agent option and ranks five potential fits: 5) Cleveland Browns (Monken offense could suit him but cap concerns loom), 4) Pittsburgh Steelers (good cap space and vertical-pass offense potential), 3) New York Jets (large cap room but scheme fit under Reich is unclear), 2) Arizona Cardinals (LaFleur offense and Murray trade possibility), 1) Miami Dolphins (best overall fit given regime ties to Willis—if cap space allows).
