Davis Sets Raiders Succession Plan, Keeps Controlling Interest Left Intact
Raiders owner Mark Davis approves a succession plan that would sell about 7% of the team to Egon Durban and Michael Meldman, with Durban holding a right of first refusal to buy the franchise; the plan values the equity at about $10 billion. Davis says he has no intention of selling his controlling stake, a move meant to enable a smooth transition and block the prospect of Tom Brady taking control.
