Serbia plans high‑honor burial for Mladić, fueling regional backlash
Serbia announced that Ratko Mladić, the Bosnian-Serb general convicted of genocide for the Srebrenica massacre and the Sarajevo siege, will be buried with the highest military and state honors, with the burial site to be decided by his family. President Vučić said the government will arrange a dignified ceremony in Serbia if the family wishes it there. Mladić died in custody at The Hague after serving 15 years of a life sentence.
