Intelligence from September Arrest Drives Wave of Hamas Command Killings
The capture of senior Hamas security official Mu'in al-Arabid on September 2 provided Israel with critical intelligence, enabling a surge in targeted strikes against Hamas leadership. Since then, three of five Hamas brigade commanders have been killed, including Northern Gaza chief Izz al-Din al-Bik, whose death was confirmed on September 29. This escalation occurs despite a fragile ceasefire, with over 1,400 Palestinians killed since its implementation.
