
United flight clips light pole during Newark approach; passengers unharmed, investigation begins
A United Airlines flight from Venice to Newark Liberty International Airport struck a light pole on the New Jersey Turnpike during its approach, injuring a tractor-trailer driver but causing no injuries to passengers or crew. The aircraft sustained minor damage; operations resumed after inspection.
