Nick Allegretti Returns to Practice as Commanders Bank on Healthy Center
Washington's Nick Allegretti returned to practice after a calf strain that sidelined him for much of training camp, with GM Adam Peters publicly expressing confidence in him and noting his extensive NFL experience. Matt Gulbin has stepped in as the primary backup at center, but if Allegretti stays healthy he is expected to start at center for the regular season as Washington trusts the rehab process and looks to solidify the interior line in new offensive schemes.
